Gabby A, performing at DaDaVerse at The Picket on Jordan Street in 2007.

DaDaFest’s Open Mic nights are open to all disabled artists. They give novice performers the chance to take to the stage, perhaps for the first time, on a programme with more experienced performers. They are a great way to build skills and confidence.

Poets like Gabby A give voice to our rage. They are a vital part of the disability arts landscape.

“We love this, it’s such a strong image. It perfectly sums up this year’s DaDaFest theme of Rage!” - The YEP Producers

  • Gabby is singing at an open mic night. An animated expression shows on her face, there is a sense of catharsis and release in her facial expression. She wears a purple ribbed jumper and black earrings that dangle. The pattern of the earrings appear as a shadow on her neck, accentuated by where the stage lighting hits her. The lighting is warm with pink undertones.
